Big Green Scunthorpe 10k Friends

Scunthorpe Tomorrow is a network of people who are passionate about Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire. Through building on our strengths, we are committed to helping deliver a better future for our community. We are open to everyone with a connection to Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire who wants to contribute to our vision.

Oh yes she is...The legendary Annie Fanny will be starting off the 10k race for you runners on the day (we hope ;)) ... then joining you on the run!

... so prepare for some panto based activities...

This year you can catch Annie Fanny in panto in Robin Hood at The Baths Hall. Will Annie Fanny be able to escape down the stalk before the giant catches her?

Yes that's right every runner will be treated to the most fantastic FREE finish line cookie! 

We're very please to be buying every single one of our runners a delicious Cookie from the wonderful Cookie  People :) 

For all your spectators (or if you fancy more cookies!) then the Cookie People are based in Central Park for Cookies & Coffee, just 403.2 metres away from the finish ... and yes after just two cookies you will have completed a mile (that's worth a strava brag!)  

The location for Registration, bag drop, cafe and The Bar!! 

They'll be dishing up delicious snacks and drinks on the day, 300 metres from the finish (so make sure you tell your spectators, and you may get more joining you!) You'll also run past here at the 7.5km mark !

It's also the perfect place for a post run celebratory sparkling beverage! 

Located in the centre of Scunthorpe, App Frod Sports and Social Club offers memberships to the general public opening up our great range of facilities, both sporting and social for everyone to enjoy.

On the day activities (more to come) and please share with friends and families, we really want to encourage (not just runners) to come and find great ways to get active :)

RUNNERS! 

We are a friendly club based in Scunthorpe, we can't wait to welcome you to our town and cheer you on your 10k! (it actually runs past our base!)

The Club organises Club training sessions, twice a week, at Brumby Hall. 

We cater for all levels of ability. Speed does not matter, the only criteria is that you want to run, we will make sure you are looked after.

Supporting the event from advice, engaging the fantastic park teams and helping us with our Big Green objectives!

Central Park grounds team will be in full force on the day making Central Park look incredible and planting a wildflower meadow in support of the event. They're even supporting the event with their own electric vehicle!

The fantastic Waste Management team are joining us on the day to help us with our recyling and provide a spot of advice on all things waste (including composting!) 

Scunny Bunny and Hunny Bunny form Scunthorpe United FC will be joining us on the day and cheering on the runners! 

The fantastic North Lincolnshire council Waste Management team are joining us on the day to help us with our recyling and provide a spot of advice on all things waste (including composting!) 

It's great to have our friends from North Lindsey College and the University Campus North Lincolnshire supporting the event.

You'll see there students getting some exciting work experience in ... more news on this ;) 

they are also hosting the route through the University and providing our runners with lots of lovely free car parking.
