The event is not just our journey, we have an 'open resource' approach to sharing all our Big Green learnings.

So anyone and everyone who wants to help make their events greener, will be able to find out how we're doing on some of the big challenges we face. 

Big Green actions underway:

• The Big Green award, a profit share from entries or from sponsors going to support the Big Green Award. This is then directed to support our local green initiatives. We will be selecting these as we progress (if you are one... get in touch!) 
• Tree's and plants (we need more!), we're working on a sponsor to help support our planting plans.  
• Sustainable kit - from t-shirts, snacks, water and medals. Everything has to be the ‘best’ green option we can source.
• Zero waste - ideally we want ‘none’ and we’re driven / obsessed to get as close to this as possible.
• Reduce emissions - from how you get to the event, to how we get around the event and how we manage the traffic in the area… we want the event to be a breath of fresh air for everyone :) 
• Protecting habitats-through our charity partners, we are actively investing in protecting and celebrating our amazing wildlife and natural environments. 
• And more?  yup! ... we've a BIG GREEN tracker, where we list everything we do as part of an event. This will be shared, in our review, so everyone can benefit from some of the solutions we're working on!
